- If you plan to offer classes, or cook food for the public on behalf of your organization, it is a very wise idea to use a kitchen that has passed inspection by a Public Health Inspector.
- To find out if the kitchen you want to use is compliant with food safety requirements and passed inspection please visit Check It CK and enter the name of the facility the kitchen is in.
- If your organization has a kitchen that you would like to have inspected please contact the CK Public Health Unit at 519.352.7270 to arrange a time for a Public Health Inspector to come to your facility. Public Health Inspectors provide education and resources and work with you to ensure your kitchen is appropriately set up and maintained so food can be prepared safely.
- Many churches have excellent kitchen facilities and are happy to share or rent out their facilities to the community. Contact NeighbourLink Chatham-Kent to find out if there is a church near you that could be available.
